Why Michael Phelps Is The Man

Okay, there are a lot of reasons… but when you watch something like this (see below) , it reinforces how amazingly athletic and resilient our Olympic athletes are, and how stupid some of us regular joes are.  Don’t you just love someone willing to try anything once, especially with a camera running?  ;)

And… a side note of congrats to the real atheletes, the 2008 Olympic medal winners – especially YOU, Michael Phelps!  As they say — kids, don’t try this at home!

The Return Of Ricky G

Since the last episode of Extras aired on HBO (and for the second viewing on my DVD player), I have been pining away for anything from my personal king of comedy, Ricky Gervais.  If you have never seen an episode of the original BBC version of The Office or Extras – I suggest you get these series added to your Netflix queue posthaste!

Anyway, I am happy to report that Ricky is starring in a movie (finally!!) called Ghost Town, and it will arrive in theaters on September 19th.  I never have the patience to see movies on opening day anymore, but I adore Ricky so much, I am not sure I will be able to wait for this one.

The trailer is out now – and I found it amusing, with limitless comedic potential.  Okay, maybe I am getting carried away, but I love Ricky.  Take it.  ;)   Check out the trailer, and tell me if you agree:

Pandas Must Have Allergies, Too

Would you believe that the temperature in Colorado Springs (a.k.a., the location of the Jenkat Games bunker) is only 41 degrees today?  It’s dreary and wet, and I am in no mood for it.  ;)   I must be lacking in Vitamin D.

And to make matters worse, my allergies appear to be out of control today - the runny nose, scratchy throat, watery eyes, the whole deal.  Doesn’t that just figure?  Ah well, at least this little guy can relate.  And since my mom is in town visiting Jenkat headquarters, I can sneak up behind her just when I am about to sneeze, and get my jollies at the expense of her similar reaction:

Gas Bill

Gas Bill

My smart aleck brother (who drives a Honda) sent this to me.  Not very funny when you drive an SUV.  :(

April Fools’ Prankster Guide

I thought a little April Fools Day humor would be appropriate today - (duh, Jovi) - besides, I love these guys… they remind me of my Jenkat colleagues TC and Eric - Top Gun sunglasses and all!

Do not try this at home, kids!  ;)   May you have a safe, happy and funny April Fool’s Day!

Worst Cover Song Ever? The Final Countdown

If no one shows up for a concert, does it really exist?  That’s the two dollar question for this nameless band that has become somewhat legendary on the Internet.

I was in a “band” in high school and we once performed a cover of Van Halen’s Panama.  Trust me, it was nothing special, but I’m proud to say that it wasn’t this bad.  Joey Tempest, the lead singer Europe, must be rollin’ in his spandex after hearing The Final Countdown butchered this bad.  Despite the vocals being horrid, I would agrue that the guitar solo is even worse.

Enjoy!

Charlie Bit Me. That Really Hurt, Charlie!

Just watch it - One of the best clips to ever appear on the Internet.  Both of these kids are so cute, in a painful sort of way.

Classic Scene: Dumb & Dumber

Dumb & Dumber is one of those movies that gets better time each time you see it.  You anticipate the scenes and begin to quote the movie verbatim.  With so many great scenes from this wonderful Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels movie, it was hard to narrow it down.  However, the mockingbird song stands out.
