You are talking crazy, Mr. Blackwell
Earlier this week the world’s most famous fashion critic, Richard “That’s Mister to you!” Blackwell released his celebrity Best and Worst Dressed Lists for 2008. Now anyone who has met me probably knows that I am not quite as “fashion aware” as I probably should be, but I am just in the loop enough to gain a greal deal of amusement out of the Worst Dressed List. Here’s why…
Number One Worst Dressed, none other than Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham Yada Yada, Etc.
I see the list, and I’m thinking - yeah, I can see that. She does look like Pamela Anderson’s desperate-for-attention, twisted little sister.
And then I see the “runner-up”:
Yeah - oof. That would be jazz-ish singer and tabloid darling (if you read that sort of stuff) Amy Winehouse. Yes, the last person I thought I would ever mention in this blog, because every time I read or hear her name I say to myself, “Who?”
If I was Victoria Beckham, I think I would just stop trying. I mean, if the be-all, end-all of fashion critics tells the world that you have less fashion sense than Amy Freakin’ Winehouse, I think it is time to buy a muu-muu, put the hair in a turban and stay home with the kids - know what I mean?
Oh, and if you happen to care - Mary-Kate Olsen, Fergie and Kelly Clarkson round out the top 5 worst. I guess skinny girls are finally out of style, so I am off to enjoy TWO bags of Peanut M&M’s® for lunch!
