Pixel Puzzle Art & Jam Legend Problems

Hello kiddies! It’s very late on a Friday night, and I am winding down by playing some of our newest Online game offerings. Yesterday I was notified that there are some issues with our newest title, Pixel Puzzle Art. I was able to confirm the problem myself today, and wanted to give you all a heads up. The game will allow you to play through about a dozen puzzles, but then the level will “stick” - at that point the puzzle pieces are not revealed, and the question marks remain in place (if you have played the game, this should make sense to you).

We have contacted the developer about the problem, and are awaiting support for the game on their end. For now we will leave the game up, but wanted you to know that we are aware of it. Feel free to send me an e-mail if you experience any other issues or have questions.

Also, sadly we have had to remove the game Jam Legend from our Online catalog. It turns out the game stopped loading for us, and the developer no longer supports this game. I am devastated, and will be consoling myself with some Rock Band 2 this weekend. And to all of you - thanks for your patience, and have a great weekend!

Daily Game Katnip - Mystery Stories: Berlin Nights

Mystery Stories: Berlin NightsHave you ever been to Berlin? It’s one of the world’s legendary cities. Here’s your chance to “travel” there in the new hidden object game “Mystery Stories: Berlin Nights”. In the game you’re tasked with finding objects and uncovering all the secrets that solve a mystery.

So it’s Monday again. What should you be doing? Working. What will you be doing? Playing an online game of Finders Keepers. Shhhh - I won’t tell. ;) - Jovi

Daily Katnip - The Pharaoh’s Mystery

The Pharaoh's Mystery - Click HereRemember games like Arkanoid and Breakout - sometimes referred to as brick buster games? Well, today’s game “The Pharaoh’s Mystery” is that type of game. I have always loved games like this and Pharaoh’s Mystery is a lot of fun.

So I went and saw The Hangover yesterday. It’s a fun movie, but a little vulgar. Don’t take the kids, but if you need an adult night out, indulge yourself. ;) - Jovi

Daily Katnip - Fortune Tiles Gold

Fortune Tiles Gold - Click HereDo you like games like Bejeweled or Jewel Quest? Well, then you’re going to love Fortune Tiles Gold, the brand new game at Jenkat Games today.

The one that is pretty neat about the game is that you only have to click your mouse one to make a match. Kind of hard to explain, so just give it a try and you’ll see what I mean.

Have a great Saturday - I’m off to see The Hangover - Jenkat Jovi

Daily Katnip - Huru Beach Party

Huru Beach Party - Click Here to PlayToday’s new game is Huru Beach Party - No, I’m not really sure what a “huru” is, but the game is pretty fun.  And the characters look a little like those little Russian dolls - I forget what they’re called.  Do you know?

Well, I’m heading out to Target to do some shopping.  Enjoy the game and I’ll talk to you tomorrow - Jenkat Jovi

Cafe Mahjongg For Free

Cafe MahjonggFor those who may not be aware, I wanted to let our blog readers know that Jenkat Games is now offering a free download of our first game, Cafe Mahjongg!  We are testing a new idea as a method of giving away full download games for free, and we welcome you to give the game a try.  The best part?  This verison of the game is not a trial version, but an UNLIMITED PLAY, FULL VERSION of the game.  If you are someone who enjoys relaxing with a warm mocha beverage while taking a break to play your favorite game (as I do) then I think you’ll find this game to be a great way to “chill”.  Heck, if you want to play at work, go ahead… I promise I won’t tell.  :)

Click here for more information about the game, and a link to download your FREE FULL VERSION of Cafe Mahjongg.

Yummy Drink Factory Mini-Review

Given my love of all things coffee and chocolatey, I could not resist downloading Yummy Drink Factory.  The description of the game sounded a little reminiscent of the famous Diner Dash time management games, and the look of the game art appealed to me.

First, the not-so-good:  The characters in the story are rather obnoxious.  How can I feel motivated to play well and cheer myself on, if I am playing in the position of the main character — who happens to be very cold-hearted and rude?  I also am not a fan of having to click “Next” to read sentence after sentence of rather drab dialogue between the characters.  I prefer to get the gist of the story all at once.  I am a working woman, after all.  ;)

On the other hand:  The game art is very pleasing to the eye — wonderful, vibrant colors and Yummy Drink Factoryscenery.  Since I am pretty awful at time management games, the tutorials were appreciated, and I was glad that the recipes were so simple from the start.  The difficulty seems to increase very gradually, so I was able to keep up.  I also appreciated the option to end the level once the daily goal is reached, as some levels (as true with any game) aren’t as fun as others.  Best of all, I loved the “coffee shop” setting of the game with a fantasy twist — and the perspective of the camera viewing only the counter, materials and customers is refreshing when compared to the old model of actually showing the main character move about the scene.

Overall I would recommend giving this game a play, especially if you are a fan of time management-meets-memory games.  Official Jovi scale — I’d give it a 7 out of 10.

Laura Jones and the Gates of Good & Evil Download

Laura Jones and the Gates of Good & Evil Game DownloadDr. Jones?  Famous exlporer?  I think George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford gonna sue somebody! :)

So our friends at NevoSoft have released their new game and Jenkat is one of the first to feature it.  Laura Jones and the Gates of Good & Evil kind of feels a little like Indiana Jones meets Tomb Raider (Lara Craft).  In fact, if you combine Lara Croft and Indiana Jones, you might get La(u)ra Jones.  Interesting.

Would you have guessed that Laura Jones would be anything but a hidden-object game, plus it has a cool name like “the Gates of Good & Evil” - Snazzy.

Women’s Murder Club Game

Women's Murder Club Game DownloadJames Patterson is a busy guy these days.  Not only is he the creator of Women’s Murder Club on ABC, he has also dipped his name into the casual gaming world with the new Women’s Murder Club - Death In Scarlet.

I personally don’t know too much about James Patterson, just that he’s been around forever, so he must be a popular writer.  I’ve seen parts of Kiss The Girls, one of his books that became a movie and starred Morgan Freeman.

Working the causual games industry, I know a lot of companies have been shy about putting the word “murder” into the title of their game name.  Looks like we’ve broken through that barrier.

Give Women’s Murder Club a try - It looks like its very popular with other Jenkat’r’s!
