We’re thankful for you. Jenkat is less than a month old, but we’re off to a great start. Coming up the rest of the year and in 2008 are more online games, a very cool profile system and lots of other goodies. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving…

As mentioned on the homepage of Jenkat Games last week, we’ve posted a new version of Corner Pocket.  We believe this version to be far superior - You be the judge.

The graphics and some sound effects have been updated, along with some tweaking of the game engine to make it a more enjoyable experience.  We still believe there are some improvements that could be made, yet we’d like to hear from you first and find out what you think.  You can post your comments here, in the Feedback section of the Corner Pocket page on Jenkat Games (below the game) or by contacting customer support.

Over the last 24 hours we’ve had some server issues and we apologize for any problems you might have had while accessing the site.  Seems that our Chief Technical Guru of Love left the hamster cage open, so Crusher and Lowblow were free to roam the offices of Jenkat instead of running on their hamster wheel that powers our servers. 

Of course, that’s not true - It was a virtual mounting issue.  However I think the Crusher & Lowblow story was a little more interesting. 

Everything should be back to normal.  Thanks again for your patience and for choosing JenkatGames.com as your place to play games.

We’ve released a new version of Discombobulated.  It launched on Sunday night.  Here’s a list of the changes…

New score animation when breaking three or more bulbs
Updated Menu system
Misc bug fixes
Overall clean-up of the game

For the rest of this month, we’re working to optimze JenkatGames.com fully before we go onto Phase II of development. We believe in making sure that everything works when we launch new features before we go onto other features. Rest assured, more online games and more features on Jenkat are coming.

Here’s a couple that have been rectified recently:

* A new personal high score (not in the Top 10) is now updating properly after each game.

* Challenge e-mails now have more information about the game and JenkatGames

* Clicking a received challenge from a friend now displays there score above the game while playing.

* Password strengh and matching first password process made more user friendly.

We’ll keep you updated. Oh, and as you might have seen in the Sweet Spot (on the homepage), Cafe Mahjongg online version is coming soon.

With the launch of the Jenkat Games website (more on that later), we should mention that we released our first download game as well on September 12th.  It’s called Cafe Mahjongg and we’d love for you to check in out.  While the word mahjong has known to scare some people, mahjong is nothing more than a simple, yet addicting tile matching type of game.  

We thought it would be interesting to bring a non-traditional theme to the game of mahjong.  So we set out to come up with some ideas and a coffee theme seemed to work the best.  Who doesn’t love their morning, afternoon or evening coffee at places like Starbucks, Caribou or your favorite local coffee shop.

Hopefully we did a pretty good job of capturing that coffee flavor with the game.  Download Cafe Mahjongg and let us know your thoughts.  And to answer your question:  Yes, an online version of the game is coming soon.
