Maxthon 2 - An Alternative Web Browser
I must admit, I haven’t been a big fan of Internet Explorer for quite some time. For a couple of years, I used a program called Avant Browser, which would sit on top of Internet Explorer. It was very nice, until it started having problems with web sites that use a lot of new programming techniques.
People tell me, “Firefox” - and I say, blah. It’s a nice product, but Firefox just doesn’t have the level of customization that I’d like. Hard to believe, but I like to make the top toolbars as condensed as possible.
Recently, thanks to our friends over at MajorGeeks.com, I found another alternative web browser that I really like called Maxthon 2 that sits on top of IE. Unfortunately it has had some issues with new programming techniques, but I’ve been willing to put up with those issues because I think it offers the best browser experience. The good news is that the all powerful and knowing Google has bought part of the company that makes the Maxthon browser, so each month the product gets more fixes and new features.
If you’ve had it with Internet Explorer and Firefox is just too nerdlinger for you, check out the Maxthon 2 web browser.
