Onion Rings
Apparently David Chase has now decided to “spill the beans” on the cryptic ending of his much acclaimed television series, The Sopranos.
Or not.
In a newly published book called `The Sopranos’: The Complete Book, Chase is denying the presence of any hidden meaning in the unexpected and
mysterious final scene of the series, saying “There are no esoteric clues in there. No ‘Da Vinci Code’.” I am not so sure I believe him, but you can read more of the story here. Why don’t I believe him? Look at this photo – tell me that isn’t an expression of a man hiding something…
A few of us on the Jenkat crew find the ending riveting - and I can’t tell you how many times TC and I discussed and dissected the ending. The obvious conclusion to me has always been that Tony’s “fade to black” represented his sudden death… what do you think? We have posted the video below - and believe it or not, there is no over the top language, violence or adult content in this scene… rather rare form for The Sopranos.
