Here’s a look at a screenshot from a game called Suburbia that we started building a number of years ago, yet the project was scrapped. A lot of times in game development, you’ll find a concept that you like and you’ll do some concept art and then eventually more evolved art to show prospective partners and gamers what the game could look like. This is a game that got that far, yet has never seen the light of day.

The game is basically Sim City meets Minesweeper – You remember that game? It’s probably on your computer along with Chess, Solitaire, and other games that are located in your Windows/Game folder.

Actually, the concept goes back to 2005 when it was called Urban Sprawl. Maybe one day Suburbia will finally be playable, yet for the moment it remains on our game shelf.

Over the past 24 hours we’ve had some issues with JenkatGames.com because of a advertising partner that behaved inappropriately. We have terminated our relationship with that partner and have put more stringent processes in place to make sure that issues like this never occur again. The incident was very isolated, yet we wanted to let you know that we’re working to make Jenkat Games the most full and safest game website on the Internet.

Finders Keepers for iPhone/iPod Touch Update

Lots of progress being made on Finders Keepers for iPhone and iPod Touch. We’ll have some new screenshots for you next week, along with a new name for the game.

That’s right, we’re rebranding Finders Keepers with a new game. Don’t worry, Floyd and Goldie will still be part of the game, yet you’ll be able to play as other characters as well.

Right now we’re putting the final touches on a brand new store for the game that will allow you to move through the game quicker, if you wish.

We can’t wait to get the game launched. You’ll be able to download the game for free in March from the Apple/iTunes app store. More news and pictures of the game coming next week.

Finders Keepers for iPhone, iPod Touch, & iPad Coming Soon
